This Refund and Return Policy ("Policy") governs the terms and conditions under which any contributions or donations made to Ganga Seva Samiti ("the Organization", "we", "us", or "our"), a Non-Profit Organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, shall be processed. By making a donation, the donor (“you” or “Donor”) acknowledges and agrees to the terms laid out in this Policy.
Ganga Seva Samiti is dedicated to charitable and philanthropic activities aimed at supporting underprivileged children, orphans, and other marginalized communities. All donations made to the Organization are utilized solely for the furtherance of its charitable objectives.
2.1 Voluntary Contribution
All donations made to Ganga Seva Samiti are voluntary, unconditional, and intended for charitable purposes only. Donors are requested to exercise due care and diligence before making any donation.
2.2 Non-Refundable Nature
All donations are non-refundable and irrevocable, under any circumstances. The Organization does not entertain any requests for cancellation of donations or refund of amounts once the transaction has been successfully processed.
3.1 Modes of Donation
- Donations may be made through the following secure payment methods:
- • UPI / QR Code-based payments
- • Net Banking
- • Credit/Debit Cards
- • Bank Transfers (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS)
- • Payment Gateway integrations (if applicable)
3.2 QR Code Donation Instructions
Donors choosing to donate via QR Code are required to:
1. Scan the official Ganga Seva Samiti QR code available on our website or physical material.
2. Enter the desired donation amount.
3. Complete the transaction.
4. Submit the UTR/Transaction Reference Number in the "Donation Form" on our website or through email.
3.3 Donation Form
The Donor must accurately fill in the required details including:
• Full Name
• Email Address
• Mobile Number
• PAN (if applicable, for 80G receipt)
• Amount Donated
• Payment Reference (UTR No. or Transaction ID)
Incomplete or incorrect information may hinder issuance of donation receipts under 12A/80G exemptions.
Upon successful donation and verification of payment details, the Organization shall:
• Send an email acknowledgment to the donor.
• Issue a valid Donation Receipt, which may be used for availing income tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (subject to applicable provisions and eligibility).
5.1 Eligibility for Tax Deduction
Ganga Seva Samiti is registered under:
• Section 12A (Reg. No. AABAG7865KE20241)
• Section 80G (Reg. No. AABAG7865KF20241)
Eligible donations qualify for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donors are advised to consult their tax advisor regarding the applicability of deductions.
If a Donor has mistakenly entered an incorrect donation amount and seeks correction, such requests must be reported in writing within 48 hours of the transaction. While donations made to Ganga Seva Samiti are treated as final and non-refundable, the Organization understands that in rare and exceptional cases, errors or inadvertent transactions may occur. In such cases, the following refund procedure shall apply:
6.1 Permissible Grounds for Refund
Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:
• Duplicate transactions due to payment gateway or banking error.
• Excess payment made unintentionally by the Donor.
• Wrong amount entered due to typographical or input error during transaction.
• Technical issues resulting in erroneous deduction without confirmation or receipt generation.
• Unauthorized transaction or fraudulently executed donation (must be reported with substantiating documents).
Note: Refunds shall not be granted merely on the basis of change of mind or donor preferences post-contribution.
6.2 Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund, the Donor must:
1. Submit a written request via email to the official communication address: [Insert Official Email Address]
- 2. The request must include:
- o Full Name of Donor
- o Date and Mode of Donation
- o Donation Amount
- o Transaction Reference / UTR Number
- o Reason for Request
- o Proof of error (bank statement or payment confirmation)
3. The refund request must be made within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of transaction. Requests received beyond this period shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
6.3 Refund Processing Timeline
• Once the request is received and verified, the Organization shall:
o Acknowledge the refund request within 3 working days.
o Complete the verification process within 7–10 working days.
o If approved, initiate the refund to the original payment method within 15 working days from the date of approval.
• All refunds, if sanctioned, shall be processed only to the source account used for the original transaction. No cash or alternative payment mode will be entertained.
6.4 Organization's Rights and Discretion
The final decision to refund any amount rests solely with the Governing Body or Authorized Officer of Ganga Seva Samiti. The Organization reserves the right to refuse any refund request that does not comply with the terms stated above.
All disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, shall have exclusive jurisdiction in any proceedings arising out of or relating to this Policy.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Members, Donors, and Volunteers associated with Ganga Seva Samiti (“the Organization”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
By registering as a member, making a donation, volunteering, participating in our projects, or associating in any way with the Organization, you agree to comply with these Terms.
Member – Any individual formally admitted into the Organization as per its bylaws.
Donor – Any individual or entity contributing funds or resources to the Organization.
Volunteer – Any individual offering time, skills, or services without financial remuneration.
Projects – All initiatives, events, campaigns, or programs undertaken by the Organization.
Voluntary Nature – All donations are voluntary, unconditional, and intended solely for charitable purposes.
Non-Refundable – Donations once made are non-refundable except under exceptional cases as per the Refund & Return Policy.
Utilization of Funds – Donations shall be used exclusively for the Organization’s approved projects and objectives. Donors may not impose conditions inconsistent with our mission.
Tax Exemption – Eligible donations qualify for deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, subject to compliance requirements.
Volunteers agree to work under the guidance of authorized representatives of the Organization.
All work must align with the mission, vision, and ethical guidelines of the Organization. Volunteers shall not:
Represent themselves as official spokespersons without written permission
Make public statements, media releases, or social media posts on behalf of the Organization without prior approval.
The Organization reserves the right to discontinue volunteer services at its sole discretion.
Prohibition of Unauthorized Collections – No member, donor, or volunteer may collect funds, seek donations, or solicit sponsorships in the name of Ganga Seva Samiti without prior written authorization.
No Misrepresentation – Any fraudulent activity, false claims, or misrepresentation in the name of the Organization will lead to immediate termination of association and may result in legal action.
No Personal Benefit from Association – Members, donors, and volunteers may not use the Organization’s name, logo, projects, or networks for personal or commercial gain.
Prohibition on Invitations in Organization’s Name – No person may issue event invitations, letters, or requests in the Organization’s name without written consent.
All collaborations with external organizations, agencies, or individuals for projects must be approved in writing by the Governing Body.
Unauthorized project association using the Organization’s name, logo, or goodwill is strictly prohibited.
Intellectual property created in association with the Organization (reports, designs, training materials, media) shall remain the sole property of Ganga Seva Samiti.
All members, donors, and volunteers must maintain confidentiality of internal documents, donor lists, project strategies, and beneficiary information.
Disclosure of any confidential information without authorization will result in termination and legal consequences.
Volunteers and members must follow all safety guidelines while participating in events or field work.
All activities must comply with applicable laws and regulations of India.
The name Ganga Seva Samiti, logo, and related materials are protected and may not be used without written permission.
Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of the Organization’s materials is prohibited.
The Organization reserves the right to terminate membership, volunteer engagement, or association without prior notice in cases of:
Misconduct or unethical behavior
Fraudulent activities
Violation of these Terms
Actions harmful to the Organization’s reputation or interests
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ganga Seva Samiti, its office bearers, and staff from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your actions, omissions, or breach of these Terms.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved amicably. Failing such resolution, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.
